Eye Problems |
| |
Turtles are susceptible to a variety
of problems with their eyes. Various infections
such as respiratory disease and fungal infections
can affect the eyes in many different ways.
As they get older turtles can form cataracts
and other serious problems. These issues can be
hard to fix even by a veterinarian so generally
the turtles will have to adapt to those changes.
If you notice any changes in the appearance of
your turtles eyes it is best to take your turtle
to a veterinarian for further analysis. Many times
the problems with their eyes are the sign of a
larger, more serious problem.
