Blood Poisoning
|
| |
Blood poisoning occurs most often
after your turtle has cut itself and the wound
has become infected. From there the bacteria can
easily travel throughout the rest of the turtles
body. These infections can cause considerable
damage because they are body-wide.
Antibiotics will be required to eleviate blood
poisoning from your turtle. Since antibiotics
are needed a veterinarian visit will be required
to first confirm the diagnosis and then prescribe
the appropriate medicine. Your veterinarian will
also be able to give you advice on dressing the
wound and how else you can help the turtle recover.
